Our number one item on the menu is “jigoku-mushi,” or food steamed with hot spring steam.
At 100 degrees C, the food steams quickly. Mouthwatering fresh fish, seasonal vegetables and delectable Bungo beef. Since it is steamed, the all-natural goodness is left in and you don't even need to add spices. Maybe that is because the steam is full of sodium chloride. It is a subtle salt flavor that you can enjoy as is or with some ponzu sauce. In any case, it’s an experience you don't want to miss.
